  1. Greetings! Hey, I hope this forum gets started; I was a fan of the Desert Magazine as a teen back in the late 50’s. We used the stories to find great Anza-Borrego back country roads to explore. Over the years, I became a “desert rat” exploring the east side of the Sierras, into Nevada and southeast Oregon; somewhere along some dirt road I got hooked on rock art sites…check out my website; always looking for a new site to visit.

  2. This is a noble undertaking and I congratulate and thank you for it. I look forward to years of pleasurable reading. I once owned a complete set of the Desert Magazine (except for the 1936 issue). I also had cover printing plates, and other artifacts, but sold them after I moved to Virginia from California. When I lived in California, I would often use articles in Desert for the basis of my explorations which is how I met Stanley Ragsdale, Hal Empie, Mike Goulding and others. My goal is now to return to the desert and finish up where I left off. Thanks again for making the Desert Magazine available again!

  3. I just happen to run into this website and I love the magazine. What a treasure!!! I have traveled throughout California in the hopes to find that peace that the desert brings and your magazine truly brings that to life. Thank you for all that you do!
